June Playlist

Cover design for June playlist.

Here is a playlist of songs I’ve listened to a copious amount or discovered in the last month. For the artwork, I was inspired by the fact that it seemingly rained about 25 of the 30 days in June.

If I do this whole playlist thing again next year, I am definitely leaning toward just giving the playlists a name & not organizing them by month… that way I won’t feel bad if I am late in posting them.

I have been mostly obsessed with Alex G, Hazel English & Toro y Moi but tried to diversify my listening habits as much as I could. Please let me know if you give it a listen to let me know what you think!

May 2020: Start Again

I had an entire post written about how life has been during the month of May, how it’s been working from home, along with my general overall feelings & coping mechanisms. Unfortunately, in light of the events of the past week, I have not really felt anything other than profound sadness, unease & frustration with the state of our world right now.

That being said, I have this playlist completed for over a week now & have just been sitting on it, hopefully by sharing, you might discover a new track or two that helps you in the way it has helped me.

Lately: May 2020

The warmer weather has been welcome as an excuse for early evening walks, but I think it is fair to say how obvious it is that I’ve been spending an extended amount of time lately wandering through my own neighbourhood & staying a lot closer to home than I’m used to – the result is a cluster of images that end up focusing, albeit loosely, on a similar theme. As much as I enjoy making images as part of my every day life, & whatever routines that currently consists of, I find myself longing for different subject matter – that is, to engage & feel connected with other people.  With that, here is a small sample collection of photographs from late April until now.

April Playlist

Cover design for April playlist.

If you are like me and had difficulty adjusting to life back in March, I am not sure April has been much kinder.  But alas, we push on because we really have no other option. On the positive side, I have been able to keep up with my monthly playlist for a fourth month running, I have no choice now but to keep going.

So here it is, the soundtrack to my April, or “music for isolation” as I have opted to refer to it.  Please go give it a follow, or a like, or whatever it is that Spotify encourages. Head to the link here: April 2020 Playlist

March Playlist

Cover design for March playlist.

March has been a weird one.  I’m not sure if it feels disjointed or not, but things are definitely not right in the world lately and I feel that this playlist might reflect that. That being said, with some extra time on my hands, I actually managed to get this playlist together before the end of the month this time around.

So here it is, the soundtrack to my March.  Please give it a listen if you’d like and I hope it helps bring some calm into your life, at least for the time being. Follow the link here: March 2020 Playlist
